Rosacea, a common skin disease, often begins with a tendency to flush or blush more easily than others. This redness can spread from the nose and cheeks to the chin and forehead. Rosacea can cause a burning sensation of the skin. With rosacea, even the chest, back, and ears can be red all the time. There are four subtypes of rosacea:

Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea – Redness, flushing, and visible blood vessels
Papulopustular rosacea – Redness, swelling, and acne-like breakouts
Phymatous rosacea – Bumpy, thickened, bumpy skin
Ocular rosacea – The eyes become red and irritated, eyelids can become swollen, and a sty-like bump can develop
